Use Access Science for background information on scientific topics

Welcome to our Database Spotlight column, a monthly feature from the Calvin T. Ryan Library. This month’s featured database is Access Science.

Link: http://0-www.accessscience.com.rosi.unk.edu/  Access is available off-campus to UNK students and employees using an EASI username and password.

Focus: Access Science provides access to 8,500 articles and research reviews from all major scientific disciplines.

Search: Access Science can be searched by keyword or browsed alphabetically by article title or by topic/subtopic. A brief video tour is available on its “About” page.

Why you should know this database:  Access Science includes entries from the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology and thousands of downloadable images and illustrations for key topics.

Cost: The subscription to Access Science cost $2,557 for 2015-16. For more information about this resource, please contact a UNK librarian.
