Research literature with Literature Resources from Gale

Students who are searching for literary criticisms or reviews, biographies of significant world authors, or poems or short stories, should keep this library database in mind: Literature Resources from Gale.

This database allows cross-searching of two related literature databases also produced by Gale, LitFinder and Gale Virtual Reference Library, to provide the following content:

  • Biographical entries on 135,000 authors
  • More than 850,000 full-text articles, essays and reviews from 390 journals and magazines
  • More than 75,000 selected full-text critical essays and reviews from e-books.
  • More than 11,000 overviews of frequently studied works.
  • More than 175,000 full-text poems, short stories and plays

Look for Literature Resources from Gale on the library’s “Articles & E-Resources” webpage under the alphabetical database listings and in the following subject areas:

  • Biographies
  • Education (K-12)
  • Library Science
  • Literature
  • Theatre and Performing Arts
