Two new databases are freely available to researchers everywhere: GreenFILE and Teacher Reference Center.   UNK students and employees may search these databases within the EBSCOhost interface, and in combination with other EBSCOhost databases, such as Academic Search Premier and ERIC.

GreenFILE  – Indexes hundreds of journals, magazines, and other sources covering global climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.   Look for GreenFILE under the “Gs” and under the subjects of “Biology,” “Geography and Earth Sciences,” or “Political Science” from the library’s “Articles & E-Resources” webpage. This database is also freely accessible to all users at http://www.greeninfoonline.com.

Teacher Reference Center  – Indexes nearly 300 periodicals covering topics such as: assessment, best practices, continuing education, current pedagogical research, curriculum development, elementary education, higher education, instructional media, language arts, literacy standards, school administration, science & mathematics, and teacher education. Look for Teacher Reference Center under the “Ts” and under the subjects of “Education (K-12)” or  “Education Administration” from the library’s “Articles & E-Resources” webpage. This database is also freely accessible to all users at http://www.teacherreference.com.
