Celebrate National Library Week, April 10-16

Written by Jon Ritterbush, Electronic Resources Librarian

National Library Week is being celebrated April 10-16, 2011.  First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.

Libraries are places for new beginnings.  Whether you are conducting research, studying quietly or collaborating with peers, crafting a research paper or multimedia presentation, the library is a special place where each person can create their own story. This week, please join in celebrating America’s libraries and librarians and create your own story at the Calvin T. Ryan Library!
