Find library resources for Native American Heritage Month

What is known today as Native American Heritage Month began in the early 20th century as an effort to establish a day of recognition for the significant contributions of Native Americans to the United States.  Since 1990, National American Heritage Month has been observed by varying names during the month of November.

The library has a number of resources in print, video, and online formats, which are related to the history, culture, and contributions of this continent’s first inhabitants.  Search the library catalog on “Native American*” (the star, or asterisk, searches singular or plural forms of “American”) or “Indians of North America” to discover hundreds of items similar to those listed below:
