Access musical scores through Library Music Source

Written by Jon Ritterbush, Electronic Resources Librarian

Music scores are available from a new online database, Library Music Source

The library has recently added Library Music Source, a searchable, online collection of classical sheet music available for download.

Library Music Source provides access to over 300,000 pages of sheet music from over 35,000 works including the entire piano works of Chopin, all the songs of Schubert, all the organ music of J. S. Bach, and all the orchestra parts and scores of Beethoven, and more.

Musical scores may be browsed by instrument or composer, or keyword searched by words in the title. Library Music Source is accessible to UNK students and employees anywhere, and requires only a web browser and PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat) to view, save or print these scores.

This new online resource is available from the Library’s listing of “Articles & E-Resources” in the alphabetical list (under “L”) and under the subject category of “Music.”
