Digital Microfilm expands access to major newspapers

The library has recently added Digital Microfilm, a new online resource providing access to full-page views of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal published since 2008 until approximately 90 days ago.

Digital Microfilm complements the library’s physical microfilm collections of the New York Times (1851-present) and the Wall Street Journal (1958-present). While microfilm requires use of special equipment within the library, Digital Microfilm is accessible to UNK students and employees anywhere using a Web browser and PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat.

Digital Microfilm is available from the Library’s listing of “Articles & E-Resources” in the alphabetical list and under the “Newspapers” category.  While Digital Microfilm does provide access to these newspapers by date and page number, it does not allow for keyword searching by topic.
