International legal cases in LexisNexis Academic

Written by Diana Keith, Government Documents Librarian

In addition to the full text of state and federal case law, LexisNexis Academic (LNA) contains cases from other countries and regions.

From the library’s home page, select Research Tools – Databases and E-Resources.

Then select “Law” from the subject drop-down menu or “L” from the alphabetical list of databases and LexisNexis Academic.

At the top of the main LNA screen, select the Sources tab and then Cases.

“Africa”: three sources including two from South Africa and a third with Commonwealth cases combined
“Asia”: fifteen sources including several from Hong Kong and others from India and Singapore

Many of the individual countries do not have cases available but there may be links to news about them and their laws/statutes.
